NOVEMBER 13, 3-7:30 p.m., COMMUNITY WORKSHOPS, GYM

The Town of Monson invites residents to participate in two community projects on Monday, November 13, from 3-7:30 p.m. at the Gym, with food provided.

From 3-5 p.m., the Village Partnership, with Maine DOT and our consultants from Gorrill Palmer, will present initial concepts and possible redesigns to enhance traffic and pedestrian safety through the village from the Blanchard Road to the Elliotsville Road. This will be the first chance for all of us to see the proposals, provide feedback, and discuss possible federal and state funding opportunities.

We will bring in food at 5 p.m. for all to join in. Please join us for any portion of the meetings you can.

From 5:30 to 730, our partners from Eastern Maine Development Corporation and the Maine Community Resilience Partnership will lead a workshop on setting community priorities for which we might receive state grants and reduce local property taxes. Input from residents will set our priorities.
