Swedish Ancestor Reunion Committee Meeting
The Swedish Ancestor Reunion Committee will be meeting August 11, 2024 at noon for a potluck lunch followed by a business meeting and social time. The meeting will be held at the home of Carlson & Carolyn Williams at 425 Pine Street, Dover-Foxcroft.

Finnish Farmers Club Events
On Saturday, July 6, 2024 the Monson Finnish Farmers Club will hold a benefit breakfast for Monson's Finn Hall from 7 - 9AM at the Finn Hall on Route 15 in Monson. The menu will be a variety of Finnish breakfast foods; Finnish Egg Bake, Pannukakku (Finnish Oven Pancakes), Bullas,plus more for $10.00.
Come and enjoy some Finnish food while supporting the Finn Hall as we prepared for our 90th Anniversary Celebration in 2025.
A Finn Dance will also be held on July6th starting at 7PM with music provided by Alexander Bennett and Friends.

Independence Day Closure
The Town Office will be closed on Thursday, July 4th and Friday, July 5th 2024, in observance of Independence Day. We hope you all have a safe and fun holiday weekend!
Temporary Road Closure
The Monson - Elliotsville Road will be closed at the Williamantic Town Line from July 8th - July 22nd, 2024 for repairs.
Planning Board - Special Meeting
The Planning Board will conduct a Special Meeting regarding the Solar Ordinance on July 17th, 2024 at 5:30pm in the CoWorking Space
Closing Early - Thursday, June 13, 2024 - Annual Town Meeting
The Town Office will be closing at 5pm on Thursday, June 13, 2024 for the Annual Town Meeting.
The Town Meeting will be held at 6pm at the Monson Gym.
Accepting Sealed Bids for Floating Dock

Town Manager Position
As many are aware, we were without a Town Manager for a brief period. Alaina Zelkan had been serving as the Interim Town Manager during the transition. At the May 9th Select Board meeting she accepted the Town Manager position. She has been with Monson in a variety of positions for a few years now and we are happy to have her as part of the team.

Friday, May 24, 2024 - Town Office Closed
The Town Office will be closed on Friday, May 24th, 2024 in observance of the Memorial Day holiday. We will be open for regular hours on Tuesday 8am - 4pm and Thursday 8am - 6pm.
SAND BID 2024
The Town of Monson is soliciting bids for the purchase and delivery of 1200 yards of screened winter sand, for three (3) years. Bids are due by June 7, 2024, at 3pm.
Sand shall be sharp and granular in nature with a minimum of ½ minus in size.
The Town of Monson shall at its own expense, require an aggregate sample and test to be completed before final acceptance of the bid if a need is determined. Tests will be conducted by towns authorized agent and testing firm. State of Maine DOT winter sand specs shall be used as the base comparison, with final option to be determined by the road commissioner, and testing firms’ recommendations.
School Budget Referendum and Town Meeting Warrants
The School Budget Referendum warrant, sample ballot and information are on the website under Residents - Town Meetings & School Budget Warrants. The referendum voting will be held June 11, 2024 at the Monson Gym from 8am to 8pm
The Town Meeting Warrant for June 13, 2024 is also found under this section of the website. The Town Meeting will be held at 6pm at the Monson Gym.
